Michael James Hamstra, age 57, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away on March 24, 2025. As a beloved partner, father, brother, and uncle, Michael was born in Oak Park, Illinois on July 13, 1967. After completing his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and his certifications in multimedia and marketing, he held major corporate roles for more than 20 years. His success was through his hard work and dedication in building multimillion assets for companies such as CTX, AppRiver, and VOX. Michael was employed at AHF/WealthDX as a Director of Marketing and was very committed to building the business by learning and growing with the team. He worked with owner, Craig Jernigan, as well as other leaders at AHF/WealthDX and loved every interaction. Michael enjoyed fishing, boating, football, traveling with his family, and had a passion in photography. He was an anchor and supporter of his children’s various sports and extracurricular activities. His other interests included coaching little league, outdoor grilling, and woodworking. He played football in high school and his favorite team was the Georgia Bulldogs. He shared the love of family, sports, and football with his brothers and his sons. Michael was the youngest of five boys, who was raised by loving and supportive parents, Joseph and Jean Hamstra. His brothers, David, Steven, Mark, and Joseph, served as an important part in his childhood, protected, and loved him immensely. Eight years ago, Michael met Rachel Lozano, and knew they were soulmates. Michael was and is a kind, gentle, loving, and intelligent man, with a beautiful heart and soul. He was always supportive and respectful to Rachel and her family throughout the years and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have crossed his path. Michael is survived by Rachel Lozano, his beloved partner. He is also survived by his lovely children: August Gray (40), Cailyn Hamstra (27), Michael Hamstra (19), and his stepson Gabriel Lozano (19), all of whom will miss their father dearly. In addition, he leaves behind his four older brothers: David Wayne Hamstra (65), Steven John Hamstra (63), Mark Allen Hamstra (62), and Joseph Michael Hamstra (59), with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. May you rest in peace, Michael, my love. |
