Michael Frederick Cesar of Gulf Breeze passed away on Sunday, March 6 surrounded by family and friends. Mike was born June 27, 1941 in Algoma, Wisconsin to Edward Frank Cesar and Arkaileen Braun Cesar. Mike attended Milwaukee School of Technology and retired from ownership of his Contract Engineering Firm, Northern Technical Services in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1987 at the age of 46. His life reflected that of the American Dream. The pursuit of adventure and his love of fishing and the beach brought him to Gulf Breeze, Florida where everyone he met became his friend. His Florida life was filled with offshore adventures pursuing all forms of saltwater game and living life to the fullest. His love for animals showed his compassionate side and he was always surrounded by any cat or dog that was lucky enough to stumble upon him. His passion for cars followed him throughout his life from his first 1950 Ford to his current MR2’s. He was known widely as the “MR2 Guru”. He loved to repair things and saw value in everything and everyone. Broken or not, it was always “Just like brand new” to him when he was finished with repairs. His caring and generosity was felt by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Todd (Kay, Emilie, Mason) and Tyler (Dawn, Aaron). He is also survived by brothers, John (Joyce), Reuben (Debbie) and sisters Audrey Krautkramer, Rosemarie Nell, Stephanie (Bill) Calmes, Charlotte (Gary) Kirchman, Esther and sister-in-law Kay Cesar. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lloyd. A time of visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM. with burial in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
