Melody Wong

On March 28, 2016, in the early hours of the morning with family by her side, our beloved Melody R. Wong went to be with our Lord from her home in Gulf Breeze Fl. She had been struggling these last few years after a car accident that almost took her life and then hit a year later with the news that she had breast cancer that had already moved to her bones. She fought as long and hard as she could but unfortunately for us the Lord had other plans. Born July 3, 1962 in Atlanta, GA. to Martha Ellis and Johnnie Edwards, Melody was one of five siblings. She was known for her kindness and generosity; holding her family and friends in high regards. She had a very intoxicating laugh that could bring a smile to any face. She dedicated her life to her children putting them first above all else. Melody is survived by her Parents Johnnie and Martha Edwards; children Joshua (Leslie) Biddy, Lisa (Devin) Piper and Michael Wong Jr.; Siblings Jolinda (John) Harper, Johnnie (Angie) Edwards, William Wade Edwards, and Beverly Landry; Grandchildren Gabriel, Joslyn, Anabella and Zachary; Nephews and Nieces Johnathon, Jonah, Thaddeus and Amber; also several other cousins and close friends. We Will be having a celebration of her life at Coastline Calvary Chapel located at 2834 Hwy. 87 S. Navarre Fl. 32566. At 2pm on Saturday April 9th. Flowers may be sent to the church the day of or send them to 4326 Quiet ct. Gulf Breeze fl. 32563 the day before. The Family would like to thank the caregivers that took the time to help and comfort Melody. Stat Nursing, Covenant Hospice, Santana and Juanita, Leslie and Dr. Ibrahim her Oncologist. Lastly We would also like to thank Meghan Barrette who was there with the family and Melody as we said our last goodbyes. Thanks so much to you all.
