Mary Alice Davis of Navarre, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, 12 September 2016. She was a native of Ashland, Alabama born 18 October 1932. Mary was the fifth of six children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe E. Hart and Pearlie A. Hart; brothers, William Hart and James Hart; sisters, Mae Belle Waites and Pearly Salter. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Billy Davis of Navarre; son Benjie Davis and wife Tammy of Navarre; sister Rosa Carpenter, of Wedowee, AL; granddaughters Shauna Maciel and husband Daniel of Gulf Breeze, Sharon Egan and husband Billy of East Milton; greatgrandchildren Sydney Bruhl, Alex Bruhl and Liam Egan. To this day, Mary’s loyal and faithful Golden Retriever Toby, continues to retrieve the newspaper and mail every day. Billy and Mary started their life journey on 10 July 1954 in Talladega, AL where they were married. In 1960, they moved their small family to Crestview, FL, then to Fort Walton Beach, FL in 1962. In 1965, the family moved to Pensacola, then Gulf Breeze, FL in 1970. In 1976, they moved to Navarre, FL; the place where both retired and enjoyed their golden years together surrounded by many beautiful and caring family, friends and neighbors. Rose Lawn Funeral Home, Gulf Breeze, will conduct the services on Thursday, 15 September 2016. Visitation for the family will be at 12:30pm; 1:00 for friends. The service will be at 2:00, followed by internment at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
