Martha H. Fehr, 79, of Gulf Breeze died on July 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William C. Fehr. She is survived by her daughter, Carol S. Stinson (Jack) of Orlando, her son Bruce C. Fehr (Lori), of Sewanee, Tennessee, five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Martha was born and raised in New Albany, Indiana and later moved to Indianapolis where she graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in1953. She married her husband the day after graduation and moved with him and their close friends Van "Skip" and Patricia Riesberg to California. In the 1980s, she studied at the University of California to become one of the first nurse practitioners in the United States. She retired to Florida in 1992. Martha will be buried from St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church on Friday, August 3, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be in the atrium of the church at 9:30. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and her "Granny Nanny" Chrissy Madewell for their outstanding work and support in caring for her during her final months. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Covenant Hospice or the Children's Miracle Network.
