Mark (Marko) D. Stachow 1959 - 2008 Mark (Marco) Dempsey Stachow passed on Saturday, April 5th, 2008. Mark was born in Jacksonville, Florida on 11th September 1959. He lived most of his life in Gulf Breeze Florida and traveled all over the world for both work and adventure. He graduated from Gulf Breeze High School and earned his AA at Pensacola Junior College. He later earned his pilots license. He traveled the world working for Northwest Airlines as a flight steward. His passions were spending time with his daughter, his wife, his family, friends, surfing, the outdoors and his pets. He shared the most memorable surfing adventures with his may friends who will miss him dearly. Mark loved his family and each and everyday of life. He always said each day was a beautiful day and a gift from God. He never took a single day for granted. His greatest joy was being a father who played with his daughter like a child. He often said "he never wanted to grow up because God always wanted us to see life through the eyes of a child." Stephanie, Mark's wife, loved most of all Mark's passion for life, his passion for their daughter, Devon, and the times they spent playing on the beach together … one of their favorite places to play together …. Mark thrilled his daughter when he imitated famous singers like Louie Armstrong ( and he could sound just like him) from the Shirley Temple movies. He had an amazing talent for memorizing all the songs from Shirley Temple movies and sang them to her impromptu. Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Stephanie Ann Stachow; his daughter, Devon Michaela Stachow; his mother, Dorothy Stachow; his sister and her husband, Susan and Jerry Bradshaw; a brother-in-law Jerry Bradshaw; his niece and nephew, Katherine and Jonathon Nestor. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Michael Stachow Sr.; his brothers, Michael Stachow Jr. and Matt Stachow. Mark also leaves behind a multitude of friends who shared memorable adventures and these very friends have warmed the hearts of his wife and family with their many stories and memories of Mark. Mark has left an imprint on the hearts and soul of so many as well as his community and he will be greatly missed.
