Marie Robinson

If you ever needed a buddy to go fishing or crabbing Marie Robinson was up for it. Make a spur of the moment trip to Biloxi to the Casino ships? Marie would insist on driving, her late husband Sonny Robinson hunched over in the passenger seat. The youngest daughter of Durwood and Willie May Bryars, Cletis Marie Bryars was born July 6th, 1937 in Georgiana, Alabama. She was baby to older sisters Jean Bryars Lee of Panama City, Florida and Bobbie Bryars Gandy of Bay Minette Alabama, and older brother, the late Wendell Bryars of Pensacola, Florida. Marie was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida. While she got to see some of the world with her first husband and the Navy, it was Pensacola she called home and raised her two daughters, Robbin Rothgeb and Penny Rothgeb Coker. Fiercely independent, Marie worked as an of office manager and bookkeeper for 35 plus years in the construction business before retiring from Reynolds Construction in 2004. Marie is also remembered by son-in-law Chip Coker, grandchildren Devin and his wife Jordan Coker, Bailey Coker, and Olivia Rothgeb and Sydney Rothgeb. Nephews and nieces will remember summers at Alabama point, staying up late into the night floundering, shrimping or crabbing with Aunt Cletis and Uncle Wendell, for the great feasts of fresh peas and greens, fried chicken and potato salad with Big Mama and Big Daddy, Aunt Bobbie, Aunt Jean
