Marie Fogarty

Marie W. Fogarty, 90, departed this earthly life December 28, 2014. She was born in Hardeman County, TN on March 13, 1924, and grew up in Corinth, MS. Marie moved to Sheffield, AL in 1942, as the bride of Jesse W. Thompson. After 1945, she raised their daughter while working as a bookkeeper. She joined the Boeing Company in 1961 and moved to Huntsville, AL, and later was transferred to New Orleans, LA. where in 1969, she married Edward M. Fogarty and moved to Pensacola Beach, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Anne T. Johnson, son-in-law, Edward W. Johnson of Columbia, TN, grandson, Guy Edward Johnson of Bon Aqua, TN, granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Johnson of Houston, TX and stepsons, Michael O. Fogarty, John G. Fogarty and William Fogarty. She was preceded I death by husband Edward M. Fogarty, parents Dewitt Wilbanks and Myrtle Estelle Mellon Wilbanks, and brothers J.T. Wilbanks and Cleatus M. Wilbanks. Nothing was more important to Marie than the Gulf Breeze Church of Christ, and her church family. Any memorials may be made to the church's building fund.
