Marie Parker Coe, 92, of Gulf Breeze died November 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. T. and Emilie Parker, and by her beloved husband, William C. Coe. Before her marriage, Marie worked in private industry and also for over nine years for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center during what she considered NASA's glory years, where she was intimately involved with the first manned moon shot. Survivors include her husband's son, James H. Godwin, and his children, Cynthia Godwin Hart, Leigh Godwin Keener, James H. Godwin, III, and Bruce Douglas Godwin, along with her husband's surviving stepchildren, Daniel Davis, Bobbie Blackwell and Patsy Gorman, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors also include two special cousins, Lydia Masters of Niagara Falls, NY and Laura Grimm of Hollywood, CA; a very special friend, Ann Brodie of Gulf Breeze; a loving dear friend and caregiver, Deborah Oberhausen; a trusted friend, Craig Cooper; and many other cherished friends. She had a caring heart for all creatures, great and small. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 p. m. at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, 100 Andrew Jackson Trail, Gulf Breeze 32561. Friends and family are invited to visit in the Fellowship Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, Covenant Hospice or the charity of your choice.
