Margaret Pendo

Margaret Elitha Pendo 1930 - 2010 A good and faithful servant went to be with the Lord. Margaret Pendo, a native of Pensacola was born March 19, 1930 and. passed away on March 29, 2010. She was 80 years old. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Flowers; her two sisters, Vivian Roselle and Edna Cutts; and her five brothers, Ollie, Robert, Sherman, Freddy and Donald Flowers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Edward Pendo; her four children, Edwina (Jim) Humphrey, Sheril (Lyn) Touchstone, Cynthia Pendo and Ralph (Faith) Pendo; her eight grandchildren, Eric Cotton, Jason Coker, Jeff Coker, Erin Condon, Eugenia Touchstone, Amy Nolan, Jesse Touchstone and Caleb Mendenhall; her fourteen great grandchildren; and her three brothers, Lurie, Daniel and Eugene Flowers. Margaret was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church involved with the Choir, Faith Dorcas Sunday School Class and Keenagers, Daughters of the Nile Shimron Temple #133 Choralettes, Eastern Star Myrtle Grove #302 and the Ladies Auxiliary Gideon. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Roger Orth, Ms. Sally Grace and the staff of Gastroenterology and Associates; Dr. Rami Owera and the staff at The Woodlands; the staff of Covenant Hospice. Your loving attention and kindness to my wife and our mother was so very much appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church from 10:30 to 12:30 with funeral services to follow and burial to take place at Barrancas National Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be John Torrence, Merrill Cutts, Jesse Touchstone, Jason Coker, Shane Aldridge and Richard Loughry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy French, Chuck Flowers and Eric Cotton.
