Margaret "Margo" Bigham

Margaret Carole Bigham passed away on March 15th at her residence in Gulf Breeze, FL.   Margo, as she was known by family and friends, was 77 years old.

A native of Frankfort, IN, Margo moved to Gulf Breeze in 1977 with her husband, Harold Dean “Harry” Bigham, where they founded Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. Harry and Margo were pioneers in the CATV industry, growing the company through the years to become one of the leading cable construction companies in the Southeast.  Harold and Margo jointly ran the company for 28 years until Harold‘s passing in 2005.  Margo was actively involved in running the company with two of her grandsons who remain in leadership positions.  Margo was involved in her community through various philanthropic endeavors. 

Margo and Harold had five children: Christopher Smock, Jeffrey Smock, Ann Bigham Sumner, Scott Bigham and Bruce Bigham.   

Margo was preceeded in death by her husband, Harold Bigham, her sister, Phyllis Spear, a brother, Richard Conner, three sons, Christopher Smock, Scott Bigham, and Bruce Bigham, and a grandson, Christopher Smock. 

Margo is survived by her son, Jeffrey Smock and his wife Cathy, Greenville, SC, Ann Sumner and her husband, James Sumner, Pensacola Beach; fourteen grandchildren, Timothy Sumner, Anderson, SC, Patrick Sumner and wife Abigail, Gulf Breeze, FL, Kelly Sumner Lamb and husband Tyler, Dawsonville, GA, Michael Jeffery Smock, Corpus Christi, TX, Angela Smock, Phoenix, AZ, Callie Smock, Greenville, SC; Benji Smock and Jacob Smock, Greenville, SC, Anita Seiple, LaGrange, GA, Nicholas Scroggs, Anderson, SC, Kadie Grant, Laurens, SC, Peyton Burton, Simpsonville, SC; Daughters in law, Cindy Bigham, Anderson, SC and Angie Bigham, Simpsonville, SC; four great-grandchildren, Athesus Smock Aransas Pass, TX, Ava and Alivia Sumner, Anderson, SC, and Oliver Smock, Greenville, SC.
The visitation will be held on Friday, March 29th at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, FL from 4pm- 6pm.  The memorial service will also be held at Rose Lawn on Saturday, March 30th at 11:00am with Rev. John Kelsoe officiating. Internment will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Rose Lawn Funeral Home directing.  
 
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margo‘s name to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
