Madeline T LaRose, 85, finally went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at 1:15 PM, in Pensacola, FL after a long illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1923, in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She had been residing at the Haven of Our Lady of Peace for the past 7 years where she loved to play bingo, listen to music, and visit with her family. She was an avid Scrabble player prior to losing her sight. She is survived by four sons, Paul and Becky LaRose, Pensacola; David and Juliann LaRose, Knoxville, TN; Phil and Jeanne Anne LaRose, St. Paul, MN; and John LaRose, Atlanta; two daughters, Barbara and David Brandao, Spotsylvania, VA; and Margaret and Steve Selby, Houston; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin A. LaRose, her parents, Theodore and Josephine Tomasovich, and a grandson, Neil LaRose. She was a very devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Baton Rouge. A time of visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, from 1:30 - 2:00 PM, Saturday, February, 28th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM. She will be buried in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Gulf Breeze. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze.
