Lorraine B. Flateau

1938 – 2022

Lori Flateau, age 83, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born in Portland, ME on January 29, 1938.

The family moved to Miami from Portland when Lori was 18 years old. Lori began cosmetology school in the late 60’s and then moved to Lake Mary in 1975 where she opened her own salon, Lori’s Beauty Salon. She later worked as a dispatcher for the Lake Mary Police Department until she retired. Upon her retirement in 2004, Lori moved to Gulf Breeze, FL where she enjoyed going to church, playing cards, and bingo. She especially loves spending time with her family and friends with her most enjoyment coming from time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Donald Draper and mother, Phyllis Todd. She was also preceded by her husband, Sidney Flateau, Jr; Charles (Bobby) Anderson (husband); stepdaughter, Pamela Spurlock and great-granddaughter, Megan Flateau.

Survivors include her sons, Dale (D’Nel) Flateau, David (Sandra) Flateau; daughters, Kim Flateau, Karen (James) Lawrence; grandchildren, Paul (Kim) Flateau, Ricky (Stephanie) Flateau, Tiffany (Matt) Farley, Sh’nel Harley, Nicholas (Mary) Flateau, Shaun (Meredith) Flateau, James (Danielle) Lawrence, Todd (Janet) Lawrence, Melissa (John) Kiker, Michelle (Fred) Freeland; great-grandchildren, A.J. Flateau, Kristen Flateau, Sydney Flateau, Owen Flateau, Peyton Flateau, Penelope Flateau, Oliver Flateau, Mikaela Farley, Athena Lawrence, Benjamin Lawrence, Jesse Menix, Michael Lively, Ashley Lively, Brianna Lively; great-great grandchildren, Aiden Flateau, Addie May Flateau, Grayson Flateau, Jesse Menix, Jaxton Menix, and Dustin Lively; siblings, Edward (Sonny) Norton, Betty Munoz, and Patricia Boykin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the chapel at Coastline Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze with Pastor Joe Prestige officiating. A visitation will begin at 3:30 until service time.
