She never met a stranger. Lil loved her God and church, her family, her friends and Auburn football. She joined Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in 1937 and was a lifelong servant of the Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher and spent several years as a Superintendent. Lil led the assemblies and Gertie played the piano-the dynamic duo !! In later years, Lil was active in the church's homebound ministry. During her residence at Life Care Center, she "adopted " all of the staff as her extended family. Everyone called her Nana and she was always in the company of loving friends. Funeral Services will be held at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church presided over by Rev. Ron Pouliot. Pallbearers are: Dave Bradley, Dustin Kamm, Will Kahlbau, Mike Gibbs, Jeff Bennett, Jim Kozbiel and Nick Kozbiel. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 7, 2012. The family extends a special thank-you to the wonderful, loving caregivers at Life Care Center and Covenant Hospice. Your warmth and compassion sustained us through Mom's passage to heaven.
