In Loving Memory of Leonida “Nida” Nierras

June 2, 1950 – December 15, 2024

 With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Leonida “Nida” Nierras, on December 15, 2024. Born on June 2, 1950, in Leyte, Philippines, Nida was a beacon of love, faith, and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her.

 She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Ben Nierras, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their four children: Nancy Mundorff, Nerie Nierras, Bonifacio Nierras, and Orlando Nierras. Nida was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and the great-grandmother of one precious great-grandchild.

 Nida worked as a custodian at Navarre High School for over 15 years, where she took great pride in her work and loved being part of the school community. Her dedication and warm presence left a lasting impression on both staff and students.

 A deeply kind, religious, and intelligent woman, Nida also found immense joy in leading community prayers in both the Philippines and the United States. Her unwavering faith and love inspired everyone around her, leaving a legacy of hope, devotion, and service to others.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, with a viewing at 9:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM.

 Rest in eternal peace, Nida. Your light will shine in our hearts forever.
