Lennie W. Bollinger died in his sleep on April 14, 2016 at the age of 55.
Lennie is survived by his son, Lennie F. Bollinger; his brothers, Charles B. Bollinger, Jr., Lonnie Bollinger, and Alvin Bollinger; his sisters, Maria Harris, SusAnne Holmes, and Kathy Rudd; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles B. Bollinger and Sue Bollinger.
Lennie was born in Clearwater, Florida on April 25, 1960 to Charles and Sue Bollinger. He had a successful career in the telecommunications industry before retiring. On January 11, 1984, he welcomed his son, who was the light of his life. Lennie loved to be outdoors fishing, hiking, gardening, walking the beach, and watching wildlife. He immensely enjoyed volunteering at the Gulf Islands National Seashore. He was always ready, with a smile, to help others with their projects. His humor and laughter, even in the face of misfortune, were constants.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. Doctor David Spencer will officiate.
