MSgt Lawrence Michael "Larry" Lower 1938 - 2010 MSgt Lawrence Michael "Larry" Lower, CCT retired, 2-term Combat Control Association President and reigning Treasurer passed away Tuesday, July 13th at his home in Navarre, FL after a long battle with cancer. Born in Washington State on December 11, 1938 and raised in Long Beach, California, Larry joined the Air Force in 1955 at the age of 17. He was a Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star. Larry retired from the Air Force in 1977and relocated to Reno, Nevada where he was an established business owner in the travel industry for 25 years. He was an avid lover of German Shepherd dogs. He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. Lower, step-children; Cynthia May, Martin May, Lee May, George McLain, and his loyal companions, B.J. and Baron. Arrangements have been made for his memorial service at the Base Chapel on Hurlburt Field AFB at 11:30 am Friday, July 23rd and interment service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola NAS at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Larry to the Wounded Warrior Project http: //www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ (877)-832-6997 or the American Cancer Soiety.
