Larry Stephen King, 62, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born in Birmingham, AL, attended Ensley High School and graduated from Jacksonville State University. Larry worked in the electrical industry for many years, and his love for the beach brought him to Gulf Breeze in 1984. He was most recently employed at Separation Systems in Gulf Breeze as a purchasing agent. Larry served in the National Guard and was a member of the Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge. Larry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy (Whitlock) King, his mother, Sara Mae Crain King, sister Peggy Ann Cerny, his special niece Paige and her husband Jeremy, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated by Father Paul Lambert on Friday, March 30th at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 920 Via De Luna, Pensacola Beach, Florida. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM Lunch will be provided in Hunt Hall immediately following.
