LaRita Reynes

     Larita Dawn Reynes, 87, of Gulf Breeze, FL, died on Monday, August 21, 2023.  Mrs. Reynes was a resident of Gulf Breeze for over 50 years.  She was born on November 6, 1935, in Wynnewood, OK.

     Funeral services will be 11:30 am, Monday, August 28, 2023, from the chapel of Rose Lawn Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at 2:00 pm, from Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL, with Rose Lawn Funeral Home directing.  The family visitation will be 10:30 am until service time.   

     Mrs. Reynes graduated from Ardmore High School class of 1954.  She married Joe Reynes in 1955, in Ardmore, OK and they celebrated 60 years together.  Larita enjoyed being a military wife for 18 years, before settling in Gulf Breeze, FL.  She served as an Escambia County Sheriff’s dispatcher and later as Communications Supervisor.  She loved the beach, water, serving at the Red Cross and researching her family history…completing the Reynes Genealogy all the way back through 1665.

     Larita was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Reynes, Sr; father, Fred Frank Foster; mother, Tressia Lucille Henderson; stepfather, Homer McCabe; brother, Riley McCabe.

     Survivors include her son, Joseph Reynes, Jr; daughters, Lisa Marie Reynes and Jeannette Louise Prochaska; granddaughters, Marin Reynes Herman and Lyndsey Fifield Colins; grandsons, Jason Fifield, Joseph Etienne Reynes, Sam Fifield and Harrison Prochaska; great granddaughter, Mary Alice Collins; great grandson, Joseph Reynes and John Reynes.
