Kyle Richard Echols

October 23, 1985 — March 15, 2024

Kyle Richard Echols, 38, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away March 15, 2024.  He was born October 23, 1985, in Macon, Georgia.

Kyle graduated from Westside High School in Macon, Georgia where he was very active with the band program.  He pursued his passion of playing and performing music by playing the trumpet for the marching, symphonic and jazz bands.  During the summer months, he would tour the United States performing with a Drum and Bugle Corp at competitions.  After high school he attended Valdosta State University to further study music.  Kyle’s passion had always been playing music.  He was a talented musician that played various wind instruments, guitars and drums.  If it had to do with music, Kyle wanted to learn to play it.  When his mother and father moved to Gulf Breeze, Kyle joined them.  He began to study martial arts where he pursued another passion, teaching children martial arts as well as giving music lessons.   Kyle’s true passion revolved around family and his children’s happiness.  He would constantly be seen making faces and acting silly to bring a smile to his children and love of his life, Cristi.  She would refer to him as another kid she was raising.  His goal in life was to bring joy to all those around him to remind them life is too short not to have fun.

Kyle is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Sears Brown; grandfather, Alvin Charles Sears; grandmother, Frances Louise Sears and his uncle, Ricky Alvin Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Cristi Wilson of Fort Walton Beach; daughter, Kylie Echols of Fort Walton Beach; sons, Tyler, James, Elijah and Logan of Fort Walton Beach; father, Darrell J. Brown of Gulf Breeze; brother, Christopher Thompson of Gulf Breeze; uncle, Stanley Sears of Macon, GA; mother-in-law, Marno Wilson of Fort Walton Beach and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
