Kevin Grace

Kevin Lynn Grace, 51, a resident of Gulf Breeze, FL for 28 years, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Kevin was born on July 19, 1962 in Decatur, IL to Arthur and Lyetta Grace. He graduated from Illinois State University with a Finance and Economics degree. He married Julie Garrett, also of Decatur, on June 28, 1986. Kevin began his career after college managing fixed income securities at a large financial institution in Bloomington, IL. He relocated to Florida in 1986 to pursue his career in banking, and eventually turned his skills and abilities to financial advising, when he started his career with J.C. Bradford & Co in the brokerage industry. At J.C. Bradford & Co, Kevin was made a partner as well as manager of the Pensacola office. In 2000, he partnered with his best friend Chad Quenneville, to form the Grace|Quenneville Financial Consulting Group, which is affiliated with Wells Fargo Financial Advisors. He was an active member of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and served on various leadership committees including Finance Committee, Missions Committee, and Executive Committee. In particular, Kevin had a heart and passion for missions and took part in several humanitarian mission trips to Peru, providing housing and wheelchair relief for the poor and handicapped. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow within Rotary International and was involved with many other community organizations including the American Red Cross. Kevin enjoyed coaching his son's youth baseball teams, Friday afternoon golf games, and cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. With his daughter Justine's decision to attend Texas Christian University, Kevin also became an avid and devoted TCU Horned Frog. Kevin's quick wit and ready smile and laugh were loved and appreciated by all who knew him. Although he achieved much success in his professional career, Kevin's greatest joy was found in his children, Justine and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Grace. He is survived by his wife Julie, his daughter Justine, his son Spencer, his mother Lyetta Grace of Decatur, IL, and brother Dennis (Cynthia) Grace of Decatur, IL. He also leaves behind many loved ones and friends. A memorial service will be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL, on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 3:30 PM with a reception immediately following. The family will greet visitors beginning at 2:30 PM until the service begins. Reverend Lester Spencer will officiate. A private interment ceremony will be held at the Memorial Garden & Columbarium at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church Mission Fund or the American Red Cross.
