Kenneth W. Harper 12/18/21- 05/09/2010 Ken went to be with his heavenly father on May 9, 2010, Mothers Day at the Age of 88 years old. Ken was born in Adams County, Ohio, one of 14 children . He was a WWII veteran serving two tours of duty in Europe. Ken worked overseas for much of his life in places such as Greenland, Australia, New Guinea, Brunei, Saudi Arabia and The United Arab Emerites, but retired to Gulf Breeze Florida in 1980. He was a member of the Tiger Point Country Club where he spent countless hours trying to perfect his golf game. He is pre deceased by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and eldest grandson Danny Malone. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Virginia Harper, two daughters, Jeanne Weyburn and husband Mark of Pensacola, and Phyllis Gross of Gulf Breeze. 3 grand children Kelly Tripp and husband Chris of Lexington, KY, Renee Turner and husband Alex of Tampa, and grandson Michael Gross of Gulf Breeze. He also had 6 great grandchildren who dearly loved their Papa Ken, Joshua, Crystal, Emily, Cameron, Corey and Caitlin. He also has 3 surviving sisters Lucille, Betty and Susie, and 3 brothers Stan, Bill And Jim. "ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD" Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13 at 10am with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial with military honors to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze is in charge of the arrangements.
