Kathryn Nodhturft

Kathryn Elizabeth Nodhturft, 85, of Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022 surrounded by her entire family.

Kathryn was born in Elizabethon, Tennessee on April 19, 1936 to Dana and Hazel Bowery.  She was married on December 8, 1958 to the late William P. Nodhturft and became a devoted stay at home mom for many years.  She moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1974 where she remained for the remainder of her years.

Kathryn leaves behind her four children: Donna (Rod) Courtney, Bill (Minette) Nodhturft, Kevin (Wanda) Nodhturft, and Steve Nodhturft, her precious grandchildren, Amanda (David) Swindell, Sara (Drew) Lenn, Samantha (Charlie) Hoyt, Steven Nodhturft, Kevin (Heather) Nodhturft, Paul Nodhturft, Lindsay Uncapper, Jacob Kelly, Russ Bjorenson, Billy Nodhturft, and Madison Nodhturft, 14 great grandchildren; two brother-in-laws: Gene Church, and Ed (Brenda) Nodhturft,  as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  She also leaves behind her best friend and partner-in-crime, Mary Cunningham.

Kathryn was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives and will be greatly missed. Her favorite place, however, was in her hometown of Elizabethon, Tennessee where she will be laid to rest with her parents, brother and sister at a later time.

Kathryn’s wishes were to go very quietly and her family will be respecting her wishes.  There will be a very private celebration of her life at a later time.
