Julia Windley

Julia B. Windley, 90 of Gulf Breeze, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was a long time member of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, CDR William Duke Windley. Surviving Julia are her two sons, Jon Windley, his wife Terri Peters-Windley, Rod Windley, and his wife Linda Andloina Windley; her six grandchildren, Maxwell, Ava Anna, Shea, Nicole and Geoff (Letha) Windley; her two great grandchildren Olivia and Elizabeth. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 9:00 AM with services beginning at 10:00 AM at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church with Reverend Herb Sadler officiating. Burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Mario Routh, Bo Sanchez, Bob Bates, Tony Strange, Steve Bates and Robert Maynor. A reception will be held at the Grand Marlin Restaurant for family and friends following the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Special thanks to caregivers Evelyn, Rebecca, Ingrid, Linda and Teresa and Emerald Coast Hospice Nurse Sharen McGaw.
