June 30, 1935 — September 4, 2013

Joe Clay passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. A native of New Jersey, Joe and his wife of 51 years, Karen moved to Tiger Point, Gulf Breeze 7 years ago. Joe was active in the Gulf Breeze VFW holding several positions over the years. He was a Navy veteran serving his country from 1958 - 1963 as a composite photographer assigned to the Photographic Squadron Sixty Three at the NAS in Miramar, California. Joe was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, and also served as President of the Numismatic Society in New Jersey. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) as well as an avid hunter. Joe enjoyed watching horse racing at the track as well as on the TV. His easy going personality and his willingness to help will be missed by all who knew him. There will be a time of visitation at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 10 - 11 AM. A graveside service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with Military Honors at 11:45 AM.
