John Stewart

John Patrick Stewart 1927 - 2010 John P. "Jeb" Stewart, 83, of Milton, FL passed away on July 12 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Jeb was born and raised in North Carolina where he met his wife of nearly 62 years, the former Barbara Ann Parks, marrying in July 1948. They have four children; Timothy Stewart of Pembroke Pines, FL; Debra A. Craul of Destin; Crista Dozier of Gulf Breeze; and John E. "Buddy" Stewart of Spanish Fort, AL. Jeb spent time in the U.S. Army and Navy before settling into a 20-yr career with the Air Force. Later, he became a teacher at Gulf Breeze Middle School and Pensacola Jr. College. Jeb's passion was singing barbershop harmony where he earned 1st place in District Quartet Championships in 1969 and 1971. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father, loving grandfather, and proud great-grandfather. A visitation will be from 10 - 11 AM Friday, with funeral service to follow at 11 AM at the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, Interment to follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Gulf Breeze. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice, Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society. Arrangementes entrusted to Rose Lawn Cemetery of Gulf Breeze.
