John "Jack" W Leaycraft Jr 82, of Gulf Breeze died peacefully at home on September 20, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Jack was born on February 9, 1930 in Nyack, New York. He was the son of the late John Wilson and Gertrude Anderson Leaycraft and the widower of Jane Vallentyne Leaycraft. Jack was a salesman for the Continental Can Company in New York City, President of the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Rochester, New York and Sales Executive at Silgan Plastics Corp in Atlanta, GA. He regularly attended services at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Berry Leaycraft, daughter, Laura L Bush and husband William of Harleysville, PA, son, David A Leaycraft and wife Suzanne P of Atlanta, GA, daughter, Susan L Shirey and husband Thomas of Duluth, GA, sister, Mary L Turner and husband John of Tucson, AZ, 6 stepchildren, David, Thomas, Douglas, Jeffrey, Barbara and Susan, twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow the service. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, 100 Andrew Jackson Trail, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561 or to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504.
