John Scott Jones of Navarre, Florida was born in Leeper, Missouri on July 21, 1946, to the late Eugene and Erma (Provance) Jones. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Harold Jones. John departed this life on August 03, 2021.
He entered the United States Air Force in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1963 and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1967. Following his military service, he was employed for many years as a defense contractor. He enjoyed old classic cars, black and white movies, and country music.
He is survived by his companion, Marsha Warren; son, John Jones, II.; daughter, Mrs. Honey (Randy) Horne; three granddaughters, Bethani, Amberli, and Daisy; two great-grandsons, Hank and Myles. He is also survived by his brother, Theodore “Ted” (Karen) Jones; sisters, Mrs. Eugenia (Charles) Steltzer, Mrs. Marsha (Roger) Stoker, Mrs. Hazel (Leroy) Windsor, and Mrs. Carol (Paul) Wiley; sister-in-law, Gail Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.
No visitation or service will be held locally. A celebration of his life will be held in the near future in Park Hills, Missouri. If desired, donations may be made to a cancer or Vietnam Veteran’s charity of your choice.
