Jesse Gann

July 26, 1957 — December 29, 2024

Jesse Hubbard Gann, III, 67, of Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Pensacola, FL, surrounded by his loving family.

Jesse was born in Oklahoma City, OK, but spent his formative years in Hawaii, where he attended Radford High School in Honolulu, HI. Jesse moved to Ponca City, OK, in 1975, and graduated from Ponca City High School. After graduation, he embarked on an adventurous career offshore, traveling the globe and building a life filled with incredible stories and experiences.

Jesse was happiest near the water, whether it was riding the perfect wave, reeling in a big catch, or cruising on his boat. A passionate surfer, he chased swells in some of the most beautiful places in the world, from Hawaii to Bali, Puerto Rico, and along the East Coast of the U.S. He also loved the serenity of fishing, finding peace and joy on the open water.

But above all, Jesse cherished his role as a husband, father, and “pawpaw” to his beloved grandchildren. He spent countless hours teaching them how to fish, cheering them on at games, and sharing his love of the ocean. His stories and laughter will be treasured by his family for generations.

Jesse was a man of faith and an active member of Coastline Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze. His kindness, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his son, John Keith Gann; his parents, Jay and Lawanna Gann; his grandparents, Eva and John Harding; and his nephew, Royce Redinger.

Jesse is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Gann of Gulf Breeze, FL; his daughters, Jennifer O’Neill (Satellite Beach, FL) and Toni Bryant (Gulf Breeze, FL); his son, Jesse H. Gann, IV (Gainesville, FL); his sisters, Gina Redinger (Coeur d’Alene, ID) and Gineta Swanson (Ponca City, OK); and his cherished grandchildren, Lillian, Austin, Jordan, and Griffin O’Neill (Satellite Beach, FL), London, Kenley, and Palmer Bryant (Gulf Breeze, FL).

Jesse’s adventurous soul and deep love for life will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know him. His family finds comfort in the waves he rode, the sunsets he adored, and the memories he left behind.
