James Wanberg

James L. Wanberg, Sr. 1930 - 2010 James L. Wanberg Sr., age 79, passed away September 25, 2010. Jim was born in Marquette, MI; he was the son of the late Henry and Ruth Wanberg. Jim joined the U.S. Navy after high school, and was stationed at Pensacola Naval Air Station where he met and married Betty Bledsoe. They were married 61 years and have two children, Jim Jr., and Carol Anne. Jim is survived by his wife Betty Wanberg; son James Wanberg Jr. (Jean) of Dublin, CA; daughter Carol Anne Bergeron (Bill) of Gulf Breeze, FL; granddaughter Amber Nicole Smith; great-granddaughter Kali Kaitlyn Smith, the joy of his life; sister Ruth Ritter of Milpitas, CA; sister Andrea Dunne (Michael) of Reno, NV; sister Barbara (deceased) and husband Jack Nolan; brother Michael Wanberg of Reno, NV; sister-in-law Gladys Docherty (John); brother-in-law Jimmie Bledsoe (Vonnie); cousins Dean and Lavon Nolen of Midwest City, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pall bearers will be Bill Bergeron, John Docherty III, Dean Nolen, Stan Hoey, Scott Kramer, and Jim Van Lorenz. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will take place after the service at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
