James Busby

James H. (Jim) Busby 1939 - 2008 James H. (Jim) Busby of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Gulf Breeze Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jim was born in Jackson, MS and had made his home in Gulf Breeze for the past 28 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Bratice Busby and one brother, Edward Busby. He is survived by his wife, Carol Churchill Busby, two sons, James H. Busby Jr. and Jon Ray Busby. In addition to his wife and children, Jim is survived by two sisters, Virginia Oswald and Faye Haley and two brothers, Donald Busby and Wayne Busby, numerous nieces and nephews and many special people who called him "Mr. Jim", "Mr. Busby", or "Grandpa". The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Gulf Breeze Hospital for their dedicated care and concern, and a heartfelt thanks to ICU workers Lisa and Walter. Words cannot express our appreciation and love for the Pastors, Staff, and members of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and all of his many friends who held us up and prayed for Jim unceasingly. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August, 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. The Busby family will receive relatives and friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall at the Church.
