JACOB W. FAUTH 1915 - 2011 Jacob Walter Fauth passed away January 1, 2011 at Azalea Trace in Pensacola at age 95. Jacob was born May 5, 1915 in Reading, PA to Pius and Lizzie Fauth. He was an innovative, multi-talented individual fully engaged in life, evidenced by his career choices and active retirement. Jake's first career was in the Army Air Corps / U. S. Air Force where he served in WWII, retiring with the rank of Major after 21 years. He then owned Glenmore Resort on Lake Vermillion in northern MN, followed by his association with Deltec Homes in Asheville, NC as their architectural engineer and construction manager. He has been an active member of the Azalea Trace Retirement Community in Pensacola since 1985 and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Jake was a talented engineer, builder, wood working craftsman, and gardener, who could fix almost anything. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and staff at Azalea Trace. Jake was preceded in death by first wife Ruby Workman Fauth (51 years), and second wife Ethel Hoffman Fauth (15 years). He is survived by his third wife, Liz Greenhut Fauth of Azalea Trace, children: Joy Beasley of Pensacola, FL, David Fauth (Phannee) of Valparaiso, FL, Sandy Brandt (Michael) of Minnetonka, MN, and stepdaughter Karen Miller (Paul) of York, PA. Grandchildren include Joel Fauth (Christi), Jackie Fauth, Erin Brandt (Dave Uejio), David Brandt (Jessica) and Todd Bender (Laurie). A Memorial Services will be held, Tuesday, January 4 at 2:00 pm in the Azalea Trace Auditorium, 10100 Hillview Drive, Pensacola. Final internment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Heritage Fund at Azalea Trace, Covenant Hospice, or St. Luke United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Covenant Hospice and to the entire staff of Oakbridge Terrace and Willowbrook Court.
