Isaac Louis Holloway, born February 10, 1927 to Thelma Claudine and John Louis Holloway of Soso, MS, passed away November 20, 2011 at the age of 84. A long-time resident of Gulf Breeze, I.L. Holloway was a World War II veteran, public educator of 40 plus years, devoted husband, and loving father. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and van driver for the past 54 years. Daddy loved a good joke, other people, and his Savior, Jesus Christ. As a mentor, he possessed the spiritual gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He was unselfish, did not live to make a good impression on others, and was humble; thinking of others above himself. Although he will be greatly missed, we know we will see him again one day. Louis is survived by Geneva, wife of 65 years, son David, daughters Carolyn, Lynn, and Markita; sisters Ada Merle Jeffcoat and Corine Blackledge, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation and funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze at 1:00 and 2:00 respectively on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Grave side service will take place in Taylorsville, MS.
