Irvin Mosley

Mr. Irvin Jackson "Herk" Mosley, 87, of Pensacola passed away at his home on May 26, 2008. He was bor21 in Clarke county, Mississippi and was a long time resident of Pensacola. "Herk" was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. He was a teacher for 35 years before retiring from Escambia High School. Survivors include; children, Dawson and Cathy Mosley, Tina and Mike Gilley, Matthew Mosley, Kenneth Ford, Kathleen and Jerry Brown, Betty Ruth and Randy Berry, Sarah and Eric Levesque; sister, Ida Ruth Bilby of El Paso, TX; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Mosley and his brothers Alfred and Leonard Mosley. Mr. Mosley lived his life with a strong faith in God. He approached life with a great spirit. His advice and guidance was appreciated by family and friends alike. He was an anchor for his family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 30, 2008 at Pinewoods Presbyterian Church; visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
