Harry W. Strahl, Jr., 48, passed away at his home in Pensacola, Fl., unexpectedly. Born in Oklahoma City, OK. on April 2, 1962 to Mary and Harry W. Strahl, Sr. The family moved to Atlanta, Ga. in 1968. When he was 7 years old the family relocated to Gulf Breeze, Fl., where Bill attended grade school, middle school and high school. He was very active in baseball, basketball and football from mini mites on up thru the Gulf Breeze Sports Assn. An avid Oklahoma University football fan who attended many of their regular season and bowl games including national championships. He was employeed by Maritime Pilot Services, Inc., at the S.W. Pass in Pilot City, La. overseeing and coordinating ships movements up and down the Mississippi River in and out of the Port of New Orleans. He was a man of strong convictions who never lost his strong bonding with many friends...who were always in his heart. Billy had a most likable and engaging personality, he was a legendary story teller who was very amusing with a wonderful sense of humor. Bill was preceded in death by his Father, Harry W. Strahl, Sr. Survivors include his Mother, Mary (Strahl) Boor, Leo Boor his stepfather, Aunt Sharrell Coley (Larry), cousins Tracie and Dustin Trotter, Great niece Sarah Pansza (Terry) of Oklahoma City and extended family members. A Reception will be held on July 2nd in the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Dr., Gulf Breeze, Fl. in the music suite at 12:30 with the funeral immediately following in the Chapel at 1:15pm. Internment will take place after the service at Rose Lawn Cemetary 2942 Gulf Breeze Pkwy.
