Beloved Grace Rosario Bangs died unexpectedly at the age of 78 in her home in Gulf Breeze, Florida on the morning of November 24, 2011, Thanksgiving Day. Grace was born in Quito, Ecuador on March 2, 1933, and lived there till she had finished her preliminary schooling when she decided to come to the United States with her father on a diplomatic mission, (he was the Ambassador to the United States for Ecuador) and frequently traveled to Washington D.C. While there her father had her enrolled into college and graduated with an education degree, during this time she met the love of her life, Robert Bangs. They dated by chaperon for 3 months and were married. They were a match made in heaven and were married for 43 glorious years until he was called to heaven. They had three beautiful children; Robert (Bobby) Bangs of Cottage Grove, MN, Helen Nuss of Helena, MT, and William (Bill) Bangs of Asheville, NC. She is survived by her 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Helen's daughter, Felicia, is pregnant with what would have been her 5th great grandchild. She was a worldly lady traveling to many different countries and experienced several cultures. Grace was known by all who were close to her for her wonderful cooking, for her appreciation of fine art and for being an amazing host to all who visited. Grace will be especially remembered for her beautiful smile and friendly manner and of course her beautiful angel collection. Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm and she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Robert's, grave. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service.
