Gerald “Jerry” Lee Brown, 88, of Gulf Breeze passed away Monday, June 3 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Modell Faye (Strozier) Johns and his father Austin Lee Brown. Jerry was a graduate of LSU law school and joined Pensacola Attorney Gordon Wells establishing the law firm Wells, Brown and Brady PA which he merged with Emmanuel, Shepperd and Condon prior to his retirement. His lengthy career included dedicated service to the Florida Bar Association, City of Gulf Breeze, Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, Rotary Club and Make A Wish Foundation. While deeply passionate about his profession and its integrity along with the prosperity of his community, his greatest passion was his love, care and provision for his family. Time spent with his family during many gatherings and celebrations at his home where he was affectionately known as “Pop” was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Ramona "Mona" J Brown; brother, Sam Nored; sons, David Hall (Libby) and Mike Hall. From his first late wife, Linda G. Brown; sons, Lee Brown (Kathy), Clay Brown (Tami), Drew Brown (Terri); daughter, Page Brown Archer (Pete); grandchildren, Jessica (Mike), Avery, Camryn, Haley, Bailey, Gabe (Crystal), Wade (Melissa), Jase (Nikki), Cole (Camille), Dylan (Daniela) and Lucas (Savannah); and eleven great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, June 7 at 2PM at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to Make A Wish Foundation or Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.
