George Smith, Jr.

George W. Smith 1928 - 2010 George W. Smith, Jr., of Gulf Breeze, Died Thursday, April 8, 2010. Born in Pensacola 5/27/28 to George Smith and Mary (Haughton) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Smith. Surviving is his son, Jeff Smith of Lincoln , NE. Mr. Smith was a US Army veteran who served with the Airborne Artillery stationed in Japan after World War II. He graduated from Pensacola High School and received a BBA from the Universtity of Florida. He worked for Monsanto until his retirement and was a member of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Services are Wednesday at 11:15am, visitation at 10am at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
