Freda Cox

Freda Cox, 91, was called to heaven on June 29, 2021. She was born in Germany and crossed the iron curtain on her own as a young girl. She was sponsored to come to America, where she became a U.S. Citizen. She retired from LabCorp. She was very talented, being a mother, a good cook, gardener, and seamstress. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Cox, sons, Bobby, and Charlie.

She is survived by daughters, Vanessa (Brian), and Crystal (James); granddaughter, Nicole (Jack), great-granddaughter Alexia, and best friend, Jo. There will be a private ceremony for the family at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Covenant Care team at the Inpatient Unit at Sacred Heart for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Covenant Care.
