Frank Wood

Frank Arthur Wood, 75, died September 11, 2015 in Naples, Florida. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Rhoda M. Butterworth and Frank Robert Wood. He attended MIT and graduated from Boston University and Purdue University with a PhD. in psychology. He was a clinical psychologist for many years, most of them in Maine and Florida. He was the beloved husband, father, step-father and grandfather of his wife of 36 years, Anne S. Wood, his children, Deborah LaSalle (James), and Frank Stanley Wood, his grandchildren, Lexi, Asia, and Adi Wood, Taylor and Samantha LaSalle. His step-children L. Rob Robbins (Carole) and Laura Robbins, step-grandchildren William and Annie, Christopher and Kelly Willits-Exner, and Kristy R. will miss his caring presence. Frank served in the Rotary of Waterville, ME for many years and was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Waterville. Frank was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Pensacola for many years and recently joined the UU congregation in Naples. He was a loyal Red Sox fan and cheered for the New England Patriots. He especially liked the beach and swimming at any place at all. He was a gentle, wonderful man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, Sept.26, 2015 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Pensacola, 9888 Pensacola Blvd. Pensacola, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UUCP Trust at 9888 Pensacola Blvd. Pensacola, 32534. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
