Remembering the life of Veteran, Forester Cress (Master Sergeant USAF, retired). He was a devoted Husband, loving Father, and proud Grand Father. Additionally, he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family. Forester Cress, age 78 of Navarre, FL. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, 18 July 2024.
Forester was born in Perry County, Ky on 30 September 1945. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and served honorably for over 25 years retiring in 1991. He then dedicated over 26 years as a highly skilled autobody technician at Gary Smith Ford, Fort Walton Beach FL. where he finally retired in 2021.
Preceded in death by his loving wife Ms. Charlene Cress. Parents, Ethel and Worley Cress, Siblings: Pat Williams-Disney, and Carolyn Sue Combs. Great Granddaughter: Annalise Oakes-Smith.
Forester is survived by his sister, Ms. Tommie Smith of Harlan Ky and his 3 children: Kimberly Renee Morley (Derrick) of Lynn Haven Fl., Lonnie Vanessa Oakes (Randy) of Navarre Fl., and Forester Allen Cress (Nicole) of Palm City Fl.; Grandchildren: Brittany Oakes, Jacob Oakes, Madison Oakes, Cress Morley, Caleb Morley, and Amy Smith-Lopez. Great Grand Child: Asher Lopez.
Forester’s life will be celebrated on Friday, 26 July 2024 at 2pm at Rose Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563, with Pastor Douglas Gilmore officiating.
