Elizabeth Caldwell

Master Sergeant Elizabeth (Beth) Caldwell USAF (Ret) passed away April 23, 2014 in Gulf Breeze, FL. She was 54. Born in Union, WV, December 30, 1959, she grew up in Lewisburg and graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 1978. She attended Glenville State College and entered the United States Air Force in 1981. During her 23 years of service, she was awarded 7 commendation medals, 4 of which were combat related, as well as the Joint Services Commendation Medal. She was named outstanding NCO while deployed in a combat zone. She was deployed in many zones, many of which were combat related and some where classified. Deployments include, but were not limited to, Korea, Okanawa, Bosnia-Kosovo, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afganistan. Preceeded in death by her Mother, Jane B Caldwell, survivors include Father, Dr. Robert Caldwell of Lewisburg, WV, Sisters Susan Caldwell Bossert of Oklahoma City and Jody Caldwell Garavaglia of Frankford, WV and nephew, Ryan Garavaglia of Frankford, WV and companion, Jennifer Blanton currently stationed in London, England.
