Elaine Incontro

On January 13, 2012, Elaine Incontro passed away joining her loving husband, Colonel Sam J. Incontro USMC (Ret). Elaine was born in Choice, Texas, the eldest daughter of Curtis and Irene Wood. Elaine married her true love Sam in Lufkin, Texas in 1962. Elaine and Sam lived in Texas, Louisiana, Michigan and Georgia until they retired to Gulf Breeze Florida in 1993. They made life long friends every place they lived. They quickly fell in love with Gulf Breeze and made many loving and enduring friends. Elaine was one of the original members of the Gulf Isle Neighbors of Gulf Breeze. The club first began in 1996 where she enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors and spending time with her special friends. She also enjoyed playing bunko with many of her friends. Elaine was a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Rene' and Lisa. Her love was also shared with Sam's children John and Nancy. She was a devoted grandmother to her 7 grandchildren; Will, Samantha, Aspen, Rob, Sean, Katie and Max. Elaine will be missed by her family and her many caring friends. Elaine and Sam are once again united where they will spend eternity together. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Gulf Breeze Baptist Hospital, 1110 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 21, 2012 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church with Father John Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
