Eddie "Gene" Woodle

Eddie “Gene” Woodle. Age 80, of Gulf Breeze, was called home October 17, 2021.  He was born January 18, 1941 in Weatherford, Texas to the late Charles and Inez “Billie” Woodle.  Gene was the light and love of our lives.  His devlish smile made everyone’s lives brighter.  He never met a stranger.  He joined the military in 1959 and retired in 1986.  During that time he traveled extensively and made many new friends.  After his retirement he became a welder and later opened his own business.

Gene’s hobbies included traveling, fishing, and metal detecting looking for treasures.  His outlook on life was infectious and he never gave advice but was always there for you and helpful whenever he could be.  He lived life to the fullest.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana Woodle; children, Tracy Scott Woodle, Stacey Lee Hansch, Tracy Lynn Hess, and Jason Woodle; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ted Woodle, and Jim Woodle; sisters, Jackie Nickodam, and Paula Darling; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many, many, friends.
