Earl Smith

Earl O. Smith of Gulf Breeze Florida age 93 passed away Monday April 19,2010 at Baptist Hospital. Earl was born in Glencoe PA. Earl was the son of Harry and Anne Smith of Berlin PA. He worked on the family farm until he and wife Lorene moved to Toledo. He was a veteran of the US army and was employed National Supply Company and Ohio Plate Glass Company in Toledo until he moved to Florida. He was a charter member of the Pensacola Beach Boat Club, the Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge, the American Legion, and the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, his brother Harry Smith of Fairhope, PA and by daughter Jodey (Donn) McMillen , a son James Smith of Schaumburg, IL, step children Jeri Smith and Sheri Browning of Pensacola and Dianna Sasser of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren and his pet dog Mendi. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 23 at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church; visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. Flowers would be gratefully appreciated or donations may also be made to the charity of your choice.
