George Douglas "Doug" Hadden
Doug Hadden of Gulf Breeze passed away March 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Doug was born May 9th 1951 in Decatur, Illinois where he lived until joining the Air Force in 1971 serving for 21 years. After retiring from the Air Force Doug settled in Gulf Breeze with his wife and son.
Doug was married to Susan Tuck from 1973 until his death. They had one son, and Doug had a son and a daughter from a previous marriage. He is survived by his wife Susan, sons Michael Hadden (wife Nita), Allen Hadden (wife Jennifer) and daughter Denice Sutherland (husband Doug). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Kaia, Nyle, Josie, Michelle, Colin and Katie as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly and always was willing to help when they needed it.
After retiring to Gulf Breeze Doug worked as a handy man doing projects for neighbors and friends in the Pensacola area, he was known for his attention to detail. Doug enjoyed ballroom dancing and peddle kayaking with Susan and made many great meals on his Big Green Egg. Doug also was glad to adopt rescue dogs and will be met by many wagging tales in heaven. Doug was the father, grandfather and uncle who taught right from wrong, and always had your back.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze. The service will begin at 12:15 pm. Internment will immediately follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
