Dorothy Marie Goebels-Flude 1911 - 2009 Dorothy Marie Goebels-Flude born June 13, 1911 in Newark, New Jersey, passed away at home in Gulf Breeze, Florida Monday, December 28, 2009. Originally from Hempstead, New York she moved to Annapolis, Maryland from her home in 1996 to live with her son and family, then to Gulf Breeze and has been residing with them since. Dorothy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gulf Breeze. She retired in 1975 from her position with Royal Globe Insurance Company in New York as an executive secretary, where she worked for 35 years. Since her retirement she enjoyed, swimming, traveling, gardening, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Her love of nature and animals had always been evident. A loving Mother to her family and a special lady to all her friends. Dorothy had a wonderful long life and had many great memories. Survived by her Son Joseph E. Goebels, and his wife Debbie, her Grandsons Joseph and Ted Goebels and her Great-Grandson Dylan and numerous nieces and nephews. She will live in our hearts forever. A time of visitation will be held from 1-2 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, Fl; funeral services and burial will follow the visitation. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504 in memory of Dorothy. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
