Dorothy Ferguson

Dorothy (DOT) Ferguson, a resident of Gulf Breeze for 47 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday the 11th of December at Baptist Hospital.

Born in 1931 in Wall, Pennsylvania, she married Melvin Ferguson on October 14, 1950. They were married for 56 years until his passing in 2006.

Dot was a dedicated member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and participated in several community activities - senior exercise class, the Fun Club at St. Anne's Catholic Church, and other senior activities. Dot loved socializing with her family and friends and had a wonderful smile that would light up the room.
Dot brought great happiness to many and will be forever remembered by all the lives she has touched. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever". - Psalm 23:6

She is survived by her daughters Colette, Karen and Denise, her son Scott, seven grandchildren - Doug, Brad, Tim, Michael, Kaylen, Lee, and Ryan, three great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ferguson, her parents John and Anna Markovic and several siblings.

She will be greatly missed by her family and the community.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 14th at Rose Lawn Funeral Home located at 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway Florida between the hours of 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 15th at 2:00 PM at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 100 Daniel Street, Gulf Breeze.
