Dorothy Dozier

March 30, 1926 — March 18, 2015

Dorothy "Anne" Trimble Dozier of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Bay Breeze ALF. Born March 30, 1926 in College Park, GA Anne was preceded in death by her husband William T. Dozier, her parents Dr. & Mrs. Hoyt B. Trimble, and her twin sister Florrie Hill. Anne graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and taught school for several years before raising a family. Anne and Bill resided in Gulf Breeze, FL for most of their married lives. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at their East Bay home. Anne, who was affectionately known as Gamaw, was a true southern belle. She particularly loved the outdoors and nature. She loved serving at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church where she and Bill were Charter members. She was an Elder in the church and served on the Witness and Service Committee for many years. She also volunteered at Interfaith Ministries, a real passion of hers. In 2003 she was the recipient of the Lifetime Membership of Presbyterian Women. Anne is survived by her brother Dr. William B. (Ann) Trimble; by her children Tom (Crista) Dozier, Lee (Julie) Dozier, and Lorrie (Mike) Hall. Anne had seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday March 26, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Danny Loffredo officiating. A time for visitation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
