Doris Skelton

     Doris Jean Skelton was born in Hohenwald, TN, on January 22, 1946, to loving parents, Glen and Eugenia Bone Skelton. 

     Doris attended elementary school in Hohenwald, TN until 6th grade, the Glen purchased a “Dime Store” in Birmingham, AL. According to her Daddy, Jean was his best sales lady, after school and on the weekends. This was a job she hated.

     She spent her life helping children as she was a guidance counselor for Santa Rosa County Schools. Jean loved Gulf Breeze and her house on the creek, “Blackwater of the Bay,” where she lived for almost 40 years. Jean lived a full life with zest and humor.
